Not as the person you think you should be. Not as the version of you that performs well in church, that has all the answers, that prays the right way. Not the one who already has it together.
Most of us were never taught how spiritual growth actually works. We were given information — good information, even — but not formation. We learned what to believe without learning how to be present to God with our real lives.
So the prayer life goes dry. The patterns we've been trying to break for years remain. We know more than we're living. And we quietly wonder if something is wrong with us.
Nothing is wrong with you. You're on a journey, and you may simply need a companion and a container for the next leg of it.
That's what this cohort is.
You've been a Christian for a while and you sense there's more — but you don't know how to get there from here.
Your prayer life is dry, confusing, or has simply stopped working the way it once did.
You know what the right thing to do is, but you can't seem to live it out — and you're tired of trying harder.
Small groups and discipleship programs feel surface-level. You want something that goes deeper.
You want to hear God — not just read about Him. You long to be genuinely known and led.
You're self-aware enough to suspect that your story, your wounds, and your patterns are part of what God wants to meet you in.
Each module builds on the last. This isn't a curriculum you get through — it's a path you walk.
Most of us were never taught the theology of transformation — why prayer goes dry, why we keep returning to the same patterns, how the Holy Spirit works in ordinary life. We start here, so everything else has a foundation.
The relationships that formed you — with God, yourself, and others — shape how you relate to everything. When you can see those patterns clearly, you gain real freedom to respond differently.
You were wired to connect with God in a particular way. We'll explore what that is — and what gets in the way — including the false self that keeps you at a distance from both God and yourself.
Practices rooted in centuries of church tradition, made practical for your actual life. So you can follow God's leading with more confidence — even in the chaos.
Not a productivity system. A rhythm that reflects who God is making you to be in this season — and gives that a structure you can actually live in.
How your interior life connects to what you do and who you're becoming in community. What the Spirit is inviting you toward — and how to walk in it with clarity and rest.
Learning how God works in imaginative prayer for myself was good — but learning how he works in the lives of others was even better. Such an inspiring experience.

This space provided experiences to connect with God, not just information about him. Every Christian needs this kind of space to process growth. I'm so grateful it came at the right time.

Having Maryl walk alongside me brought immense peace and helped me discern where God was showing up in a season when I couldn't find him on my own. She understands when to speak and when to let the Spirit move in silence.

For the first time, I learned what listening really looks like — and what it can do to foster growth. It helped me see what's really going on in my life and become aware of God's doing in the process.

I grew up in the church. Led Sunday school at 12. Did everything a good Christian girl was supposed to do. And underneath all of it, I was anxious, disconnected, and quietly convinced that if I just worked harder, God would finally make me feel okay.
Home was chaotic — a single parent, chronic stress, emotional unpredictability. I learned early to hide what I really felt, appease, stay out of trouble. And without knowing it, I related to God exactly the same way.
The turning point came in 2013 in a spiritual formation class when someone said: the reason you can't relate to God the way you desire is that you learned to relate to God the same way you relate to your parent. I wept. That one sentence named something I had been circling for a decade.
I enrolled in seminary that fall. Seven years of spiritual formation and direction training. Over 200 directees. And what I keep finding is that the path forward is almost never about doing more — it's about learning to be present to God as the person you actually are.
That's what I want to help you find.
Peace,
Maryl
Applications are reviewed personally. If it seems like a good fit for this season, you'll hear from me directly.
